For almost three decades Starlight Children’s Foundation (“Starlight”) has been brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families. Recently the Insurance Advisernet Foundation was delighted to play a small but important part in shaping the next generation of Starlight’s evolution, through a $25,000 donation in support of the 2017 Starlight Supporter Survey.
“The survey is a vitally important part of Starlight’s ongoing supporter communications,” explained IA Foundation Chairman, Ian Carr. “To encourage as many people to respond as possible, we committed to make a donation directly to Starlight for every survey returned. The final amount donated was $25,000, making it one of the largest single donations since the IA Foundation was formed in 2015.”
The biennial Starlight Supporter Survey is sent to 60,000 Starlight donors across email and post. The objective of the survey was to understand the donor experience and satisfaction with Starlight, asking for people to share their views on what the Foundation is doing well and, perhaps even more importantly, what it can do even better. The information will be used to shape future programs and initiatives.
About Starlight Children’s Foundation
Starlight’s mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families. Driven by the belief that fun fights fear and wins every time, Starlight partners with Australian health professionals to help develop programs based on positive psychology principles that support the ‘total care’ of Australian children and teens. Starlight knows there’s a lot more to treatment than just medicine. Through the power of positive distraction using creativity, social connection and fun, Starlight helps kids simply be kids.
