What's even more alarming is that 20% of those diagnosed are below the age of 50, with 10% below the age of 40. With the number of diagnoses still on the rise, it's crucial that we continue to push forward with research efforts.

The Shake it Up Foundation is at the forefront of Parkinson's research in Australia, partnering with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research who match all donations. This means that our $10,000 donation effectively becomes $20,000, doubling the reach of every dollar we donate.

Established in 2011 by Clyde Campbell, a father of three who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 44, Shake it Up has funded 71 Parkinson's research projects in Australia to the value of $27.7 million dollars since its inception. Every dollar donated goes directly into research within Australia, and all projects are assessed and monitored by a team of expert scientists at the Michael J. Fox Foundation to avoid redundancy.
